ABET Accreditation Services

Our group includes large number of  current ABET Program Evaluators across different areas of engineering and computer science, evaluating programs under the EAC and/or CAC criterion.  Some of our consultants have previously served as the commissioner for CAC and/or EAC commissions.  Our consultants have helped programs across the world to get prepared for their accreditation process.  We provide wide range of services to our clients, following unique agile processes.  Some of these services include: 

•  Establishing Assessment Process:    Our consultants will work with the program in order to establish an assessment process that will meet the accreditation criterion while meeting the department culture and available resource requirements.  Our goal is to define a streamline process that it does not overburden the faculty, while allowing the program to conduct continuous improvement. 

• Initial Self-Study Assistant:     Our consultants will work one-on-one with the program assessment coordinator to produces a clear, concise, and unambiguous self-study report.  Our goal is to produce a self-study that minimize the need for clarification during the assessment process. 

• Self-Study Review:     Our consultants will review the self-study in order to identify any issues.  These issues could be in the form of missing information, ambiguity, lack of clarity, etc.  In addition, our consultants will also look for  any shortcomings associated with the specific criteria.  The result of the review will be communicated to the program in the form of a written report.  Once the report is reviewed by the program, our consultant would be available for further discussion either in form of clarification of the report, and/or providing suggestions as to how to address the specific shortcoming.     If a program desires, we can provide a partial self-study review, where we only review criterion 3, 4 and 5 (Student Outcomes, Continuous Improvement, and Curriculum).

• Due Process Support:    Our consultants will cooperate with the program personnel to prepare the due process response starting the day after the visit, till the time final accreditation decision is communicated to the program.

• Mock Accreditation Visit:    Our program specific consultant will conduct a simulated accreditation visit on campus.  The Mock visit starts with the program submitting their draft self-study at least one month in advance of the visit, after the review of the self study, our consultant will visit the campus and they will conduct laboratory inspection, interview faculty, students, and possibly alumni or industry representatives.  At the completion of the visit, the consultant provides an oral exit statement, where the shortcomings are identified and possible approaches are identified in order to address those shortcomings.  Finally, shortly after the completion of the visit, a written report will be submitted to the program summarizing the  mock visit findings.  Our consultant will continue to be available to the program, while they work on eliminating the sighted shortcomings.
